Ratified by China's State Council and organized by the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) and the People's Government of Hainan, the World New Energy Vehicle Congress (WNEVC) focuses on the transformation of the auto industry and the ecological improvement of the natural world.
At present, the world's major developed countries have successively put forward their visions of carbon neutrality by 2050, and China has also released the objective of "having CO2 emissions peak before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060." The development of new energy vehicles is an important measure to achieve carbon neutrality in the century-old automotive industry.
With these goals in mind, the 3rd WNEVC will be held in Haikou, Hainan province from Sept 15 to 17, 2021, and will be themed "Comprehensively Promoting Marketization, Accelerating Cross-industry Integration and Jointly Achieving Carbon Neutrality." It aims to further strengthen international exchanges and cooperation to accelerate the integrated development of automobiles, energy, transportation, information and communication. It will also expedite the marketization of new energy vehicles.
