Sanya Customs issues 10 measures to boost export economy

Updated: english.sanya.gov.cn

Sanya Customs has introduced 10 measures to boost the city's export-oriented economy, supporting the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

In terms of key port construction, the measures focus on preparations for special customs operations. Efforts will include intensifying stress testing for the "second-line customs ports" at Sanya Port and Sanya Phoenix International Airport, supporting the expansion of port openness.

The measures aim to build a distinctive industrial system by focusing on key sectors like offshore duty-free shopping, tropical agriculture, and cross-border e-commerce. This will be achieved through optimized regulations, expanded export bases, and support for new business models.

Regarding the release of policy dividends, the measures will deepen the application of the import tariff exemption policy for products with no less than 30 percent added value after processing, and promote the implementation of core free trade port policies, including zero tariffs, in various industrial parks.

Beyond these key dimensions, the measures also cover seven other areas, including support for key industrial parks development, promotion of tropical agricultural exports, facilitation of germplasm resources introduction, optimization of the cruise and yacht industry, cultivation of cross-border e-commerce, services for international exhibitions and events, and innovation in enterprise service mechanisms.
