German sports car maker Porsche debuted its future in-car infotainment system at the 2025 World New Energy Vehicle Congress in Haikou, Hainan province, on Sunday, reinforcing its "in China, for China" commitment.

"We are taking this opportunity to announce the in-car infotainment system tailored for China, delivering an experience that better understands Chinese users," said Alexander Pollich, president and CEO of Porsche China.

"This represents a significant milestone in our 'In China, For China' strategy," he said.

It also marks Porsche's first appearance at the WNEVC, alongside the Volkswagen Group China, showcasing its key electric models: the Taycan GTS and the all-electric Macan 4 Active.

"The WNEVC offers us valuable opportunities to grasp the pulse of the Chinese market and gain insight into industry trends," said Pollich.

Developed primarily by a Chinese R&D team, the system maintains Porsche's core technical DNA while integrating resources from local partners, such as internet of vehicles company PATEO.

It introduces for the first time a large language model-based AI voice assistant and 3D vehicle control, which enables smarter, more visual, and emotionally resonant human-vehicle interaction.

A driver-centric map and guidance design, paired with predictive destination input and seamless phone-to-car synchronization, delivers precision, personalization, and confident driving.

The system is integrated with China's digital ecosystem, including music, online radio, and video platforms.

Launched in December 2024, the project has shortened its development cycle. Currently in the testing and validation phase, the system is scheduled to be installed across Porsche models from mid-2026.
