On Sept 8, Sanya Houhai Tourism Development was launched to develop Houhai Bay into a unique maritime tourist area.
Houhai Bay is a crescent-shaped bay located in Sanya's Haitang Bay area. Surrounded by mountains on three sides and facing the sea on one side, it offers pristine waves and exceptional geographical resources, making it a renowned "surfing paradise".
After years of development, the bay has blended surf culture with the local fishing culture. With its abundant tourism and cultural resources, Houhai Bay has enormous development potential.
Sanya Houhai Tourism Development will leverage its natural advantages and geographic location to create a distinctive seaside park. Various attractions, such as a sunset pier, the Houhai Bookstore, and a surfing base will be established to ensure visitor satisfaction. Unique accommodations, forest trails, marine sports facilities, and beach activities will also be created to complement the area.
In June of this year, Sanya released a measure to upgrade and transform the consumption clusters in Dadonghai, Sanya Bay, Yalong Bay, and Houhai Bay.
Officials from the Haitang district government stated that the establishment of this enterprise will standardize tourism formats such as homestays, catering, and commercial activities in Houhai Bay.
