Starting from June 1, the Tianya Haijiao Tourist Area in Sanya, Hainan province, will be open to tourists for free.
Established in 1984, the Tianya Haijiao Scenic Area is an important scenic spot that is renowned both domestically and internationally. In recent years, through the integration of tourism with multiple industries, the scenic spot has undergone comprehensive upgrades in terms of service quality and amusement projects.
In 2021, Tianya Haijiao teamed up with Wuzhizhou Island to establish the Tianya Aquatic Sports Club. While transforming from traditional sightseeing models to deep tourism experience models, the Tianya Haijiao Tourist Area added more than 20 tourism products, providing a destination for tourists to experience aquatic sports.
The Tianya Haijiao Tourist Area is also set on developing its wedding industry. By utilizing its tourism resources, it has created a wedding photography base. It has also held the Tianya Haijiao International Wedding Festival for 26 consecutive years.
The scenic spot also provides tourists with cultural enrichment. Tianya Books not only provides tourists with a high-quality resting and reading environment, but also enhances the cultural taste of the scenic area.
Since July 1, 2022, several tourist hotspots in Sanya have opened to the public for free, including the Luhuitou Scenic Area, the Daxiao Dongtian Tourist Area, and now the Tianya Haijiao Tourist Area. This promotes the transformation of State-owned scenic spots from a "ticket economy" to a comprehensive development work model.
