Witnessed by representatives of nearly 40 enterprises, the Sanya Diving Industry Association was established on Wuzhizhou Island on Dec 27.
The inaugural meeting and the first general meeting of the Sanya Diving Industry Association were held on the same day. Hainan Quwan Water Sports was elected as the first leading enterprise in the association, and Bao Yongzhou was elected as the chairman of the Sanya Diving Industry Association.
At the meeting, the Sanya Diving Industry Association also brokered several cooperation agreements.
The College of Ecology and Environment of Hainan Tropical Ocean University, and the Hainan Nansha Coral Reef Ecosystem National Field Scientific Observation and Research Station will serve as scientific research consultants for the association.
Bao stated that Sanya's diving industry has huge market potential, but it has not yet formed an orderly and efficient industrial chain. In this context, the establishment of the Sanya Diving Industry Association is a practical move to promote the wide popularization and long-term development of the diving industry in Sanya.
