Updated: ehainan.gov.cn

The Hainan Hong Kong & Macao Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Service Center, established by the Hong Kong Federation of Hainan Community Organizations, was inaugurated in Haikou on Dec 28.

The service center will provide one-stop services for Hong Kong and Macao youth who come to Hainan for innovation and entrepreneurship, such as comprehensive assistance for project landing, investment promotion investigation, and activity planning, to help Hong Kong and Macao youth come to Hainan Free Trade Port for employment and entrepreneurship and further deepen cooperation between Hainan, Hong Kong and Macao.

Since April 13, 2018, Hong Kong has established 1,976 new enterprises in Hainan, accounting for 42.5 percent of the total number of newly established foreign-funded enterprises in the province. The contractual Hong Kong capital is $54.88 billion, accounting for 64.6 percent of the total contractual foreign capital in the province. The Hong Kong capital in actual use in Hainan amounts to $9.55 billion, accounting for 76.34 percent of the total actual use of foreign capital in the province. In addition, Macao has set up 68 enterprises in Hainan.

Seeing the development opportunities of Hainan FTP construction, Wang Hengjin started an intelligent security technology enterprise in Hainan after returning from abroad. Wang said that her high-tech industry enjoys two preferential policies in Hainan: high-tech enterprise recognition and high-level talent recognition. As hers is a small enterprise, she hopes to build a platform through the service center to connect with more resources and promote more cooperation.
