Overview
Qiongzhong Li and the Miao autonomous county are located in the middle of Hainan Island, north of Wuzhi Mountain. It extends for 79.22 kilometers from the east to the west and 76.69 km from the south to the north, covering 2,704.16 square kilometers. The county is mountainous, and includes Wuzhi Mountain, Limu Mountain, Taqi Mountain and Yingge Mountain. The county's government is situated in Yinggen town.
Qiongzhong has 10 villages and towns such as Yinggen town, Wanling town and Limushan town. It has three State-owned farms: Wushi Farm, Yangjiang Farm and Changzheng Farm.

The ecological environment in Qiongzhong is optimal. It is the core area of ecological protection in the province. There are national and provincial nature reserves such as Wuzhishan, Limushan, Yinggeling, and Diaoluoshan. The forest coverage rate of Qiongzhong is 83.74 percent, and its comprehensive ecological environment index ranks tops in Hainan and fourth in the country. Qiongzhong lives up to its reputation as a "natural oxygen bar".
