Shandong enterprises made a strong showing at the 137th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) in Guangzhou, aiming to deepen foreign trade cooperation.
During the fair, Shandong formed three trading groups – one for the province as a whole, one for Jinan, and one for Qingdao, with a record-breaking 2,994 enterprises and 5,345 booths. Nearly 30 percent of the exhibitors were high-tech firms, manufacturing champions, or "little giant" enterprises, showing Shandong's achievements in advanced equipment and technology innovation.
Meanwhile, Shandong organized a matchmaking event, promoting high-quality Shandong foreign trade products and their public marketing service platforms, a new international shipping logistics model, new energy photovoltaics, and more.
The matchmaking event brought together nearly 100 buyers from regions like Eastern Europe, Africa, South America, Central Asia, and ASEAN. They engaged with over 150 Shandong-based manufacturing companies in fields such as new energy, auto parts, machinery, and agricultural equipment. The event concluded with over $5 million in intended deals.
