China Chain Store and Franchise Association released, on June 21, the 2022 top 100 supermarket enterprises by sales in China. Their total sales registered at 936.89 billion yuan ($129.85 billion), and the total number of stores was 28,413.

Data shows that Walmart China ranked first, with a total sales volume (including tax) of 109.31 billion yuan in 2022. Yonghui Superstores and Kangcheng Investment (China) ranked second and third, with a total sales volume (including tax) of 97.987 billion yuan and 92.012 billion yuan in 2022, respectively.
