Global Multinational Corporations Summit to kick off in Beijing

The Global Multinational Corporations Summit, also known as the 14th International Roundtable of Multinational Corporations’ Leaders, will take place in Beijing on Sunday, with the theme of “An Open China and the World”.

Almost 500 leaders from domestic and international multinational corporations will gather to explore new opportunities and challenges in investment and cooperation.

Companies attending include Chia Tai Group, Orix Group, Tata Group, Louis Dreyfus Company, Veolia Group, SAP company, Schneider Electric, EDF Group, TotalEnegies, China Mineral Resources Group Ltd, China Communications Construction Company, COFCO Corporation, China National Petroleum Corporation, CNOOC, China Tourism Group, Sinochem Group Co Ltd, and Power Construction Corporation of China.

Industry-leading experts will attend the summit to present cutting-edge ideas and insights, helping participants gain new perspectives. Business leaders will also share success stories and innovative strategies, contributing to discussions on global economic growth and exploring future industry trends.

Ban Ki-moon, former secretary-general of the UN and chairman of the Boao Forum of Asia, has sent a congratulatory letter to the meeting. Zhang Xiangchen, deputy director-general of the World Trade Organization, and Francisco Rojas Aravena, president of UN-mandated University for Peace, will deliver video speeches.

Leaders from the National Development and Reform Commission, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, as well as officials from Beijing, the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, will also give keynote addresses.
