The 15th Annual Meeting of the New Champions, also known as the Summer Davos, opened on Tuesday in Dalian, Liaoning province, and is scheduled to run from June 25 to 27.

Themed "Next Frontiers for Growth", the event attracted around 1,700 representatives from political, business, social, and international organizations, as well as academia and the media.

On the eve of the forum, a reporter interviewed two French nationals involved in the event's preparations and listened to their "Davos stories".

Sébastien Brondoni, 46 years old, is visiting China for the tenth time this year. He is serving as the exhibition project coordinator for the 2024 Summer Davos.

To Sébastien, Dalian is a tranquil and welcoming city. He finds China's rapid development and continuous transformation fascinating, describing it as a place where "the future has arrived".

Designer Jennifer Meriot also expressed her admiration for the warmth and enthusiasm of the people in Dalian. Despite the differences between Chinese and foreign cultures, she believes that the aspiration to "come together for a better future" is universal, highlighting the inseparable link between China's development and that of the world.
