A delegation from North China's Shanxi province is attending the Expo Central China 2024, which kicked off in Changsha, Hunan province on May 31.

During the three-day event, the Shanxi delegation will fully showcase the province's transformation and development achievements through exhibitions, industrial matchmaking, project negotiations and other activities, so as to promote Shanxi's high-level participation in global economic and trade cooperation and build itself a new beacon of opening-up to the outside world as an inland region.

The total area of the Shanxi exhibition area is 240 square meters, with 35 enterprises in attendance, covering industries such as photovoltaics, synthetic biology, new energy vehicles, modern medicine, third-generation semiconductors, new energy storage, carbon-based new materials, and general aviation.

In addition, the Central Region New Energy Industry Chain Promotion Conference hosted by Shanxi will be held in Changsha, with relevant departments from six provinces in Central China and enterprises and associations related to the new energy industry to participate.

The conference will focus on promotion and coordination in fields such as new energy vehicles, wind power equipment, hydrogen energy, photovoltaics, and new energy storage in order to further expand exchanges and cooperation.

This year's expo will feature four major events, 20 special events, and on-site inspection activities, and for the first time, the director general of the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies and experts from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development have been invited to share international experiences in promoting the coordinated development of regional economies.
