Global sportswear producer Nike Inc posted a 6 percent growth with its revenue reaching $2.08 billion in the third quarter in China, a sixth consecutive quarterly rise, driven by the vitality during the Spring Festival holiday, innovations in designs and social commerce, including livestreaming to connect more younger consumers, according to its fiscal 2024 financial results released on March 21.

The Chinese New Year sales grew year-on-year, with Nike and Jordan Year of the Dragon collections driving quick sales, according to the company.

Its retail sales with wholesalers grew double digits in the quarter compared to a year ago. Children led the growth with performance up double digits. In basketball, its new launches of Book 1, Kobe, and G.T. Cut 3 have seen strong sales. In running, the Structure, the Invincible, and the Vomero drove strong growth this quarter.

Its Jordan brand delivered double-digit growth in women's and children’s sectors. On Saturday, Jordan World of Flight Beijing, the brand's first pinnacle retail concept in China, is expected to be unveiled.

While speaking on gaining market shares in the country, Donahoe added: "We are very optimistic about the future in China. And we will grow across multi-channels to grow the market. It's probably the area of the world we do the best."
