Guiyang National High-tech Industrial Development Zone is a big data industry development cluster and an open innovation platform in Guizhou province. It was established with the approval of the State Council in 1992 as the first national-level high-tech zone and the only talent zone in Guizhou.

With a management area of 31.54 square kilometers, the zone has developed into "one zone with four parks" layout including Jinyang Park, Shawen Park, Xiuwen Park, and Wudang Park.

The zone is located in the central part of Guizhou province, and is at the intersection of the Guiyang High-speed Railway Economic Circle and the International Convention  Economic Circle. It has convenient transportation in all directions. It has formed a three-hour economic circle with developed areas such as Guangzhou and Chengdu, or a seven-hour economic circle with Beijing and Shanghai.

Guiyang high-tech zone focuses on building leading industries such as big data and electronic information, advanced equipment manufacturing, and new energy.

In recent years, Guiyang High-tech Zone has been continuously expanding its presence in the field of big data. The integration of "big data + industry", "big data + agriculture", "big data + services", and other models has extended the application of big data to the tertiary industry, government services, social governance, and other fields. This has formed a relatively complete ecosystem for industrial development, characterized by accelerated industry aggregation, deep integration of industries, significantly enhanced innovation capabilities, and continuous improvement of information infrastructure.
