CFO from South Korea gives thumbs-up to vibrant Pudong

With over a decade of working experience in China, South Korea native Ko Kang Tae praises the working environment of Pudong New Area in East China's Shanghai, which he moved to last year. 

"Pudong has both urban prosperity and rich cultural heritage. I can feel the rhythm of endless challenges and development in Pudong," he said.

Ko is now Chief Financial Officer of Shanghai Dentium Medical Device Co Ltd, which is based in Zhoupu International Medical Park. The dental implant manufacturer currently exports its products to more than 70 countries and regions, including Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, making it a representative implant manufacturer in South Korea.

Ko said that he had worked in Shenzhen, Guangdong province for many years before he came to Pudong. His daughter was born in Shenzhen and he has special affection for the South China city. However, he said that he chose to work in Pudong for his career development and future life because there are more opportunities for better development in Pudong.

Although he has only been working for Dentium for a short time, he quickly adapted to working and living in Pudong. Currently, his company is expanding its domestic production base in order to improve its market competitiveness.

"I feel satisfied and my life is fulfilling. I am very glad that I chose Pudong," said Ko. "If there is one word to describe Pudong, the best one is 'innovation'."

In his eyes, Pudong is full of challenges and opportunities where everyone can participate in the area's fast development and achieve self-growth.
