The first Jiangsu-Shaanxi Intangible Cultural and Creative Production Exhibition opened in the Yisu Theater Cultural District of Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on Dec 23.
The exhibition is jointly hosted by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
Through on-site as well as online methods, the event has provided an exchange platform for intangible cultural heritage inheritors – demonstrating the achievements of Jiangsu and Shaanxi in cultural exchanges, culture protection and in the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage.
More than 40 Chinese time-honored brands and intangible cultural heritage projects related to tea, drinks, paper-cutting, dramas, handicrafts and traditional medicines from Jiangsu and Shaanxi are on display.
In addition, a series of colorful activities offers an intangible cultural heritage feast for locals and tourists, such as a hanfu show, a cheongsam – traditional Chinese gowns – show, and a copper pot show.
Also, during the event, the Xi'an Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Association and Yunzhong Art Museum (Suzhou) Co signed a cooperation agreement, building a bridge for intangible cultural heritage exchanges and mutual learning between the two places.
