A total of 146 industrial enterprises in Baotou have won 248 million yuan ($35.63 million) in special funds for the development of key industries in Inner Mongolia autonomous region since the beginning of this year, accounting for 24.7 percent of the total funds allocated by the autonomous region.
The funds won by Baotou involve industrial support policies in 12 areas, including intelligence, digitization, and greening.
Among them, 41.44 million yuan was won in the technological transformation of advanced manufacturing clusters and key industrial chains, 33.82 million yuan was won in machine substitution and intelligent manufacturing demonstration pilots, 21.88 million yuan was won in industrial digital transformation, and 34.48 million yuan was won in industrial green transformation. All funds have been distributed to the relevant banners, counties and districts.
The issuance of the special funds is a move by the autonomous region to seek progress while maintaining stability and promote the high-quality development of the industry. It will also further promote the green, intelligent, digital and high-end development of Baotou's traditional industries and incentivize emerging industries to upgrade their technology, expand their production capacity, and achieve high-quality development.
