Wahed Ahmadzai came to Beijing when he was 18 and studied at the University of International Business and Economics. Fast forward to nine years later, the 27-year-old Afghan youth is now an entrepreneur in the Chinese capital city. Why did he choose Beijing?
"Being in a city like Beijing actually enables you to create impact on a global level," he said. "You have access to a big cluster of talents from pretty much every single country in the world. You will have a lot of access to resources and information, which is very crucial for a startup who wants to build up business."
There are also a lot of platforms, incubators and industrial parks that have very good support for foreign startups, he said. "The process of going from zero to one is very easy, very quick."
