To promote the integrated development of ecology and the rare earth industry, in recent years, rare earth enterprises in the Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial and Development Zone have promoted green manufacturing, integrated high-end scientific research forces in the rare earth industry, and developed "rare earth +" industries such as rare earth catalytic materials, alloys, ceramics, and chips.

Baotou Inst Rare Magnetic New Materials Co, the main supplier of Huawei, Lenovo, Microsoft and other well-known enterprises, has set up operations in the zone.

Five industrial internet service platforms have been built in the area, 45 industrial apps and software have been developed, 240 industrial internet modules have been promoted and applied, and 30 rare earth new material enterprises have implemented industrial internet acceptance.

In addition, the zone is promoting the green, digital and intelligent transformation of rare earth enterprises, implementing a rare earth new material industrial internet project, and seeking to improve product yield by 5 percent, reduce energy consumption by 10 percent, and increase economic benefits by 20 percent. Rare earth raw materials produced by green and environmentally-friendly processes account for more than 80 percent of the country's total.
