According to the Hainan Provincial Department of Commerce, Hainan plans to invest 126 million yuan ($19 million) to support 30 exhibition projects in 2022. The total number of exhibition projects included in the provincial support plan increased by 131 percent year-on-year.

Among the 30 exhibition projects, there are seven projects sponsored by the provincial government, including the China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE), while 23 projects are sponsored by social capital. These projects cover the tourism, sports, marine, medical and health, seed, forestry, cosmetic medicine, architecture, design, consumption, and clean energy industries.

Hainan will make full use of the provincial-level exhibition project platform to carry out investment promotion, as well as promote the landing of enterprises and projects. The province will also set up platforms to publicize the industrial policies and advantages of the Hainan Free Trade Port, as well as to make suggestions for the development of Hainan's industries.
