International enterprises are maintaining a positive outlook on China's business environment, the CCTV app reported on Monday.

The surveyed enterprises have generally high satisfaction with the country's macroeconomic and regulatory policies, according to a report on China's business environment in Q1 2022 by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.

They also have relatively high esteem for China's infrastructure, market competition promotion and business premise acquisition, according to the report.

A special group has been established to actively promote solutions to difficulties encountered by foreign enterprises in their investment, production and operation in China, said Yu Yi, spokesman for China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, at a news conference on Monday.

Among all surveyed enterprises, 71 percent maintained and 16.4 percent expanded their business scale in China during the first quarter of the year compared with the fourth quarter of last year.

During the same period, 72.1 percent of surveyed foreign enterprises increased their investment in China by more than 5 percent and 13.5 percent plan to increase investment in the country.

Over half of the foreign companies consider China's market and corporate strategy the main reasons to increase investment and 42.6 percent plan to invest in the Yangtze River Delta region.

The World Bank's new trial standards to evaluate the satisfaction in a country's business environment for foreign companies include 10 aspects: Market access, business premise acquisition, labor employment, access to financial services, cross-border trade, tax payment, settlement of commercial disputes and promotion of market competition.
