Guyuan: Hot-selling cool-season vegetables

Located in the Liupan Mountain, Guyuan has a large temperature difference between day and night, a cool climate and good natural conditions.

The vegetables it produces are bright in color and enjoyable in taste, and are favored by consumers.

In recent years, the cultivation area of cool-season vegetables in Guyuan has reached 500,000 mu (33.33 hectares), output has exceeded two million tons, and output value has reached 4.5 billion yuan ($668.87 million), bringing farmers per capita net income of 2,400 yuan.

The vegetables in Guyuan are sold throughout the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

By 2025, the area of cool-season vegetables in the city will be stabilized at more than 500,000 mu, and the output will reach 2.4 million tons, while the total output value of the whole industry is expected to reach 10 billion yuan.
