The Yili Industrial Group, Chinese dairy maker, released the country's first zero-carbon milk on Saturday. It had earlier received a verification statement of carbon neutrality from Bureau Veritas, a world-renowned international inspection and certification group.

The company has realized net-zero carbon emissions in the whole life cycle of the new organic milk, including development of grasses and pastures, production, distribution, and consumption.

This is the latest innovative move by Yili to lead the industry in energy conservation and emission reduction, and follows its construction of China's first zero-carbon factory in the food industry.
