Jiangsu clothing company gets thumbs-up from foreign journalists

A group of foreign journalists praised Chinese down jacket company Bosideng International Holdings Ltd for its automation technologies when visiting its intelligent manufacturing base and smart delivery center in Changshu, East China's Jiangsu province on Wednesday.

At the Changshu-headquartered company's clothing-making facility, foreign journalists were amazed at the highly-intelligent automation system applied to manufacturing, as well as the delivery process.

One of the visitors, Chau Thai Binh from Vietnam Television (VTV), said that he had heard that China's economy had maintained sound growth momentum amid COVID-19 and was convinced of this by Bosideng.

Intelligent manufacturing and efficient logistics systems allow the world to use China's high-quality clothing products and also help deepen connections between China and the rest of the world, Chau added.

With seven of the largest and most technologically advanced down jacket production centers in China, Bosideng sells its products in 72 countries and regions around the world, reaching more than 200 million consumers worldwide.

In 2020, the company's sales and net profits both hit a record high, reaching 13.52 billion yuan ($2.12 billion) and 1.71 billion yuan, up 10.9 and 42.1 percent year on year respectively.

Jiangsu province has a solid economic foundation, a strong industrial and supply chain and rich talent resources, as well as good business environment.

Changshu was the first stop on the HiJiangsu trip, a five-day discovery tour co-organized by the Information Office of the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government and China Daily to invite more than 10 foreign reporters to experience Jiangsu's high-speed development in the past 100 years.
