China-CEEC International Investment and Trade Expo, the predecessor of the China-CEEC Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair (hereinafter referred to as CEEC Expo), is one of the key components of the Belgrade Guidelines for Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries.
From 2015 to 2018, the CEEC Expo had been held on four consecutive occasions as part of the China International Consumer Goods Expo. In 2019, the CEEC Expo was officially upgraded to national level status, and was rebranded as the China-CEEC Expo & International Consumer Goods Fair with the approval of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council.
The expo is co-organized by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, and jointly undertaken by the people's government of Ningbo, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce and the Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce.
So far, the CEEC Expo has been the only national exhibition focusing on cooperation between China and CEE countries, aiming to build a central hub for China-CEE economic and trade cooperation, a bridge for CEE countries entering the Chinese market, and a important window for multi-level exchanges between China-CEE countries. The expo will promote all-round, high-quality and multi-level exchanges and take cooperation with CEE countries to a new level.
The Second CEEC was held in Ningbo, East China's Zhejiang Province, from June 8 to 11, 2021. The exhibition covered a total floor area of 200,000 square meters, attracting 2,041 exhibitors and 7,468 professional buyers.
China's most prominent and renowned enterprises including China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) and BGI, as well as CEEC's global brands like Gorenje and Tescoma, all participated in the exhibition. In addition to CEEC's special agricultural and associated products, there were also exhibits from machinery and electronics, life and health, and other five categories. Huawei's latest AI products and other high-end, sophisticated and cutting-edge goods were also unveiled to visitors.
During the expo, a total of 10.78 billion yuan ($1.67 billion) of intentional purchases were made, and 97 two-way investment projects worth $18.21 billion were signed.
