China International Import Expo

The 5th China International Import Expo will be held from Nov 5 to 10, 2022, in Shanghai.
The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is an autumn trade fair held annually since 2018 in Shanghai, China. It is the world's first import-themed national-level expo, and features exhibitions of multiple countries and businesses and the Hongqiao International Economic and Trade Forum.
The CIIE is a significant move for the Chinese government, as it gives firm support to trade liberalization and economic globalization and actively opens the Chinese market to the world. It facilitates all countries and regions to strengthen economic cooperation and trade, and to promote global trade and world economic growth in order to make the world economy more open.
The 2019 edition was hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, and organized by the China International Import Expo Bureau and National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. The event’s partners included the World Trade Organization (WTO), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, and the International Trade Center.
The venue for the CIIE, the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, is the world's largest single block building and exhibition complex. It boasts a total construction area of nearly 1.5 million square meters, and covers a total area of 500,000 square meters, including 400,000 square meters in indoor exhibition halls and a 100,000 square meter outdoor area.
The Chinese government sincerely welcomes government officials, business communities, exhibitors and professional purchasers from across the world to participate in the CIIE and to explore the Chinese market.
