Since July 23, an Airbus A380 – the world's largest passenger aircraft -- of China Southern Airlines has been operating between Beijing Daxing International Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun Airport. The express flight is the only A380 aircraft flown domestically.

The Airbus A380, the world's largest wide-body passenger aircraft, is 72.73 meters long and 24.07 meters high, with a 79.15-meter wingspan and a take-off weight of up to 560 tons. Its flight range can reach 15,000 kilometers.

Passengers aboard China Southern's Airbus A380s can enjoy their flight in first, business or economy class. There are a total of 506 seats placed in a 550-square-meter area.

On April 27, express flights between the capital and Guangzhou and Shenzhen in South China's Guangdong province will be launched at Beijing's Daxing International Airport, as the airport's first two express lines. The service, operated by Southern Airlines, makes trips between Beijing and the two business hubs in Southern China more convenient.

During the May Day holiday from April 30 to May 5 2021, Southern Airlines operated 278 flights on the two express routes, a 320 percent year-on-year increase. And the numbers of passengers carried reached 52,000, up by 455 percent year-on-year.
