Jinan to host 2021 CICA Finance Summit

The 2021 CICA Finance Summit will be held in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, from April 16 to 18.

The summit will welcome more than 300 guests, including members of CICA, diplomatic envoys of CICA members, officials of State ministries, and experts and representatives from financial institutes and enterprises.

The event aims to promote financial cooperation and regional economic development in Asia amid a downturn in the global economy and the instability of international markets caused by the pandemic.

Participants will discuss issues related to jointly building a new pattern of regional economic development in Asia, exploring a new mechanism for CICA financial cooperation, and sharing achievements in scientific and technological development.

The Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia currently has 27 member countries and 13 observers. It is the security forum with the widest coverage, the largest number of members and the strongest representativeness in Asia.

Since 2018, the CICA Finance Summit has been held in Chengdu and Nanjing respectively, promoting international financial cooperation and boosting local finance industries.
