Liangjiang aims for high-quality development in 2021

Liangjiang New Area in Southwest China's Chongqing municipality plans for high-quality development in 2021 to make a strong start to the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025).

Inland gateway for opening-up

Liangjiang's Guoyuan Port will focus on improving efficiency and reducing costs. It will accelerate the construction of the China-Singapore multimodal transport base, apply to become a free trade zone, and open more international water and railway transport routes.

Lianglu Cuntan Free Trade Port Area ranked seventh nationally among China's free trade zones in 2020. This year, it will combine its bonded business with intelligent manufacturing, general trade and port logistics to optimize the opening-up environment.

Relying on Chongqing International Expo Center, Liangjiang will innovate the expo industry by holding both online and offline expos, developing bases for expos, competitions, performances and training, and organizing immersive exhibitions.

City of intelligence

Liangjiang will continue the intelligent facility construction at Lijia Smart Park, hold the never-ending Smart China Expo, and make Yuelai's international expo city green and intelligent.

Liangjiang Coordinative Zone will support emerging industries, establish high-end international R&D institutions, and attract 10 universities and institutions and 2,300 innovative talents.

Targeted investment attraction

In 2021, Liangjiang will promote investment in automobiles, electronic information, high-end equipment manufacturing, biomedicine, modern services and technology innovation.

While launching supportive investment policies for the previously mentioned industries, Liangjiang will also issue targeted supporting policies for projects involving hydrogen vehicles, aeronautic equipment and integrated circuits.

High-quality city clusters

Liangjiang aims to build demonstration areas for high-quality living environments by promoting the integrated development of different areas.

As one of the venues of the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, Longxing town will build football fields, renovate the Longxing ancient town, and plan for several sports parks.

Yuelai's international expo city will build 18 kilometers of roads, 23 city parks, improve 10 km of footpaths, and construct hospitals and schools to complete the city's supporting infrastructure.

Liangjiang's Cuntan area will strive to become a cluster of global consumption relying on its cultural streets, commodity exhibition center, international exchange center, international business center, export promotion center and the exhibition center of Chongqing Pilot Free Trade Zone.
