Qianhaiwan Free Trade Port Zone [Photo/szqh.gov.cn]
Qianhaiwan Free Trade Port Zone is located on the west side of the Nanshan Peninsula in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, the east side of the Pearl River Estuary, and is adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao. It is an important part of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone in Qianhai.
Qianhaiwan Free Trade Port Zone was established by the State Council on October 18, 2008, and officially opened for operation at the end of 2009, with a planned area of 3.71 square kilometers. By 2015, seven modern supply chain facilities and offices with a total area of 420,000 sq m have been built in the port zone. The final size will exceed one million sq m.
The port zone trades in bonded goods and services and is mainly engaged in international procurement, distribution, transit, transit trade and the corresponding financial, insurance, agency, display, testing, maintenance and shipping services. The port zone focuses on four leading industries: shipping services, supply chain logistics, international trade and innovative finance.
At present, well-known enterprises, including Tempus, SF Express and China National Offshore Oil Command CET, have settled in the port zone.
