XHTZ, fertile ground for key & core technology

Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone (XHTZ) has gathered more than 70 percent of the high-end innovative resources and major scientific and technological innovations in Xi'an, providing support for the development of key & core technology.

At present, the key & core technology industry in XHTZ has formed a pattern of rapid development of new formats like new technologies, artificial intelligence, and smart manufacturing, led by information technology and optoelectronic chips.

A number of domestic and foreign well-known enterprises have settled in XHTZ, such as Alibaba, Samsung Electronics, Huawei, and ZTE, helping the zone attract more high end talents.

In addition, the zone has actively built a series of key and core technology towns, such as ZTE Science and Technology Town, 3D Printing Town, as well as Navigation Town.

The 2019 Xi'an High-Tech Zone Innovation Index was released at the 2019 Xi'an Global Key & Core Technology Conference, which showed that in the past five years, the zone has made great progress in its overall level of innovation and development.

In terms of the introduction of domestic investment quotas, XHTZ's explosive growth in the past two years is second only to Beijing Zhongguancun Science Park in the 10 national high-tech zones that create world-class high-tech parks.

This shows that XHTZ has become a source of scientific and technological innovation, as well as the high-tech transformation hub in West China.

The zone's proportion of high-tech industries and exports of technical services has continued to increase, reaching 95.49 percent in 2018.

XHTZ's high-quality development will also help Xi'an become a center of key & core technology, as well as build Xi'an into a national center city.
