Yancheng Comprehensive Bonded Zone was approved by the State Council to be established in Yancheng, East China's Jiangsu province in 2012 with a planned area of 2.28 square kilometers. It is the first bonded zone in the northern part of the province.
Integrating the functions of port operations, bonded logistics, bonded processing, and international trade, the zone has maintained a close cooperation with Port of Dafeng, Yancheng Nanyang International Airport, and the ports in Shanghai. It has now been developed into a production and service base for the manufacturing cluster and an important cargo distribution center in the Yangtze River Delta.
More than 2 billion yuan ($295 million) has been invested in the infrastructure upgrading of the zone. The zone has also built 600,000 square meters of standard buildings. At present, there have been more than 30 firms based in the zone, mainly engaging in the industries of electronic information, new materials, warehousing logistics, and cross-border e-commerce. Firms in the zone can also enjoy preferential policies in tax and foreign exchange.
