Wujin Comprehensive Bonded Zone was upgraded from an export processing zone after passing the acceptance inspection by the provincial government on Dec 10, 2015.
Wujin Export Processing Zone officially started operation in Wujin district, Changzhou, East China’s Jiangsu province in December 2009. In February 2015, the zone was approved to be upgraded into a comprehensive bonded zone by the State Council, in a bid to provide convenient port services to surrounding firms.
East to the zone is Qingyang Road Logistics Park, which helps to facilitate the zone’s development in warehouse logistics and e-commerce. West to the zone is some supporting industrial parks where foreign trade firms are based.
The zone is currently committed to developing itself into a center of manufacturing, logistics, trade, research and development, and exhibitions. To beef up its positioning as a regional manufacturing center, Wujin Comprehensive Bonded Zone is seeking more investment to its industries of new materials, new light sources, and electronic information, led by corporate champions like LITE-ON Technology Co, Jingpin Optoelectronics, and AAC Technologies. By harnessing all kinds of ports in Changzhou, the zone is striving to be a logistics center by attracting more international logistics firms.
