Kunshan Comprehensive Bonded Zone

Kunshan Comprehensive Bonded Zone is located in the State-level Kunshan Economic and Technical Development Zone in Suzhou, Jiangsu province with a total planned area of 2.86 square kilometers. It was upgraded from the former Kunshan Export Processing Zone in December 2006 after the approval of the State Council.

Kunshan Export Processing Zone was set up in April 2000 and started operation later that year.

The zone  is 50 km from downtown Shanghai in the east and 35 km to Suzhou in the west, 45 km to Hongqiao International Airport and 60 km to Shanghai Port. Beijing-Shanghai Railway, National Highway 312 and Airport Road pass nearby.

The zone has sound infrastructure and supporting facilities. It mainly focuses on export processing trade and the leading industries are related to advanced technologies.

In 2017, the zone achieved foreign trade of $48.44 billion with a year-on-year growth of 18.8 percent. Currently the zone clusters more than 100 companies, over a half of which have import and export qualifications.
