Fuzhou Export Processing Zone is located in Fuzhou Economic and Technical Development Zone (FETDZ) in Fuzhou, Fujian province, with a planned area of 1.14 square kilometers.
The processing zone was approved by the State Council on June 3, 2005, and passed the central government’s inspection on Dec 22, 2006. Supervised by the Customs Department, the zone mainly manages the import and export trade, with full coverage of supporting infrastructure, including warehouses and service agencies.
With a focus on the international manufacturing industry, the processing zone has attracted firms in such industries as electronic information, precision machinery, equipment manufacturing, fine chemicals, modern logistics and ports. Firms based in the zone enjoy preferential policies in customs clearance, taxation, foreign exchange and processing trade management.
By November 2017, there were 1,502 registered commodities categorized in cross-border e-commerce in the zone with total import volume of 86.75 million yuan ($12.5 million) and sales volume of 112.8 million yuan.
