Changchun Xinglong Free Trade Zone (FTZ), located in the northeast of Changchun, Jilin province, was established in December 2011 with the approval from the State Council. It is the only free trade zone in Northeast China's Jilin province and the 19th in China.

Occupying a planned area of 4.89 square kilometers, it was divided into three phases for construction, of which the first phase covers 1.54 sq km, featuring bonded processing, bonded logistics, trade in goods and services, as well as customs clearance.

Changchun Xinglong FTZ puts priority on the development of leading industries covering manufacturing of automobiles and its electronic products, transportation equipment, parts, and module assembly. 43 projects totaling 8.37 billion yuan ($121.81 million) in investment have been settled in the FTZ as of 2014 and it was expected to achieve an import and export volume of $1.7 billion in two to three years.
