Dongqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone

Dongqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone is in the downtown area of Ningde, Fujian province. The zone was approved by the State Council as a national-level development zone in December 2012.

The zone is composed of the main urban area, which has nine communities with a population of 100,000 in 16.7 square kilometers, and the 24-sq-km industrial concentration area that is now home to 91 firms. The new energy industry is developing rapidly while traditional industries are in transformation. 

In 2017, the zone’s industrial output value for enterprises above designated size was 25 billion yuan ($3.6 billion) and fixed assets investment was 8.8 billion yuan. Export value reached 3.3 billion yuan and actual use of foreign capital in the zone was $4.3 million.
