Top 10 private companies in the manufacturing industry

Chinese tech giant Huawei, high-tech industry group Amer International, and Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering ranked in the top three on the list of top 500 private companies in the manufacturing industry released on Aug 29, with the companies in second and third place swapping positions compared to last year's rankings.

It's worth noting that Shandong-based Xinfa Group nudged tech giant TCL Group out of this year's top 10.

Huawei also took the crown on the top 500 private Chinese companies list released on the same day. A total of 288 manufacturing enterprises made the list, indicating strong momentum in the industry.

The All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and Liaoning provincial people's government released the above two lists, along with relevant analysis reports, at the 2018 China Top 500 Private Enterprises Summit held in Shenyang, Northeast China's Liaoning province.

No 10 Hailiang Co Ltd

Revenue: 162.59 billion yuan ($23.79 billion)

Industry: Non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling

Headquarters: Zhejiang province

Revenue: 200.83 billion yuan
