7 Optics Valley big data projects make national list

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has recently revealed a list of big data industry demonstration projects for 2018. 

Projects from eight companies in central China's Hubei province made the list, among which seven are based in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Development Zone (Optics Valley of China).

The seven projects include a big data analysis project from Wuhan GeoStar Information Technology Company; a fusion application platform for video big data from FiberHome Digital Technology Company; a security analysis system for mobile internet from Wuhan Hongxu Information Technology Company; a big data platform for Hubei's agricultural sector from Wuhan Optics Valley Information Technology Company; an AI cloud platform for early diagnosis of tumors by Wuhan Landing Medical High-tech Company; a government data sharing platform from Wuhan Dameng Database Company, and an analysis platform for big data of buses from Wuhan Guangyuan Science & Technology Company.

Among the companies, Wuhan Optics Valley Information Technology, founded in August 2007, is committed to intelligent governance and service sectors relying on three core technologies: spatial information technology, big data technology and system integration technology.

Wuhan GeoStar Information Technology Company, established in 1999, is a well-known intelligent solutions provider in China, with a focus on spatial information.

Founded in 2000, Wuhan Landing Medical High-tech Company is mainly engaged in cancer cell diagnosis via AI technology, and providing clinical screening services. The company's self-developed AI cervical cancer screening and diagnosis machine has provided high-quality and low-cost cervical cancer screening services for millions of women across the country.
