Changchun Jingyue High-Tech Zone

Located in the southeast of downtown Changchun, Jilin province, Jingyue High-Tech Zone was upgraded to a national high-tech zone by the State Council on Aug 19, 2012, covering 478.7 sq km.

The zone emphasizes the integrated development of modern services, culture and high-tech industries and houses several functional areas, including a tourism area, high-end commercial and residential communities, advanced manufacturing industrial park, higher education, R & D and incubation centers for sci-tech firms and areas planned for gardening and sightseeing.

In 2016, the zone’s GDP reached 75.29 billion yuan ($11.76 billion), up 8 percent year on year; the fixed asset investment 52 billion yuan, up 20 percent; added-value of service industry 53.3 billion yuan, up 9.4 percent; the added-value of enterprises above designated size 5.08 billion yuan, up 6.8 percent; the gross revenue 221 billion yuan, up 8.2 percent; the actual utilization of domestic and international capital was11.54 billion yuan and $395 million.

A total of 1,693 enterprises were registered and 74.23 million people were employed in 2016. The per capita net income of farmers amounted to 14,000 yuan, up 3.7 percent year on year.
