Taiyuan High-tech Industrial Development Zone

Located in Taiyuan, capital of Shanxi province, Taiyuan High-tech Industrial Development Zone was founded in July 1991 and approved as a State-level high-tech zone in November 1992.

Covering a total area of 60.8 sq km, the zone consists of two parts, a newly-built area and a policy-driven area.

It now houses industrial parks for electronic equipment and information technology, new materials, electronic manufacturing, digital products and centers on the development of integration of electronic information and optical mechatronics, new materials and new energy, bio-medicine, environmental protection and energy conservation.
