How to apply for setting up a branch in China?

A foreign company must meet the following conditions when it sets up a branch in China: 1) nominate an agent or a representative to be in charge of the branch in China; 2) allocate funds necessary to undertake operations of the branch; 3) the branch must display its nationality and mode of responsibility as well as its rules and regulations.

The procedures are roughly as follows: 1) preparation for establishment; 2) application; 3) ratification; 4) registration and publicizing.
