According to the statistics of news release of foreign investment, in December 2017, Newly Approved Foreign-invested Enterprises amounted to 4837, up by 36.5% year on year; and the actual use of foreign investment reached RMB 73.94b（USD 11.13billion）, down by 9.2% year on year.

From January to December this year, the top ten nations and regions with investment in China (as per the actual input of foreign capital) are as follows: Hong Kong (USD98.92b), Singapore (USD4.83b) , Taiwan Province(USD4.73b) , R.O.K.(USD3.69b) , Japan (USD3.27b) , U.S.A. (USD3.13b) , Netherlands (USD2.17b) , Germany (USD1.54b) , U.K. (USD1.5b) and Denmark (USD820m) , total of which accounted for 95.1% of total actual use of foreign investment in the country.
