Wendeng district, in Shandong's Weihai city, has witnessed a surge in its pre-packaged dish industry following its successful participation in the SIAL China, one of the world's top food trade fairs, which took place in Shanghai in late May.

Local enterprises garnered significant interest from over 20 purchasing companies, resulting in successful collaborations.

Wendeng Yameng Food Co Ltd, a key participant, has already sent samples of its products to major buyers, including Hema Fresh. Their frozen breaded fish fillets align perfectly with Hema Fresh's upcoming "Japanese Tempura" food series.

The exhibition's success has prompted enterprises to upgrade their production line equipment and focus on technological advancements.

Additionally, the local government is collaborating with companies to formulate a plan to facilitate the high-quality development of the healthy food industry.

It is also encouraging businesses to venture into the high-end pre-packaged dish market, leveraging its abundant marine fishery resources.

The region already boasts over 40 companies involved in the processing of marine pre-packaged dishes, with an annual production value exceeding 700 million yuan ($98.05 million).
