The Shangrao Economic and Technical Development Zone, previously known as Shangrao Industrial Park, was established in 2001, and upgraded to a State-level economic and technological development zone approved by the State Council in November 2010.
With a total population of over 126,000, it covers an area of 104 square kilometer, and boasts more than 3,000 registered enterprises, including 368 industrial enterprises, 206 enterprises above the designated size, and 126 high-tech enterprises.
This development zone has formed a "3+2" industrial pattern consisting of three pillar industries of photovoltaic industry, photoelectricity and automobile, and two characteristic industries of biomedicine and Beidou industry.
Led by the Jinko Solar (the world's largest crystalline silicon photovoltaic enterprise), the photovoltaic industry has built a complete industrial chain except for silicon material production; and the photoelectric industry, with Phoenix Optics (the subsidiary of CETHIK, the world's largest smart security equipment seller) as the frontrunner, has attracted more than 170 micro, small and medium-sized photoelectric enterprises to settle down. The ETDZ also boasts a number of well-known companies like Hanteng Auto, B-energy, and Aiways.
With the industrial development goal of creating a "4 parks+1 valley" pattern: namely, Photovoltaic Park, Optical Park, Jiangxi Auto Park, Jiangxi Beidou Park, and International Cell Valley, Shangrao ETDZ will focus on the strategies of industry-city integration and industry-education integration, and strive to push itself to walk in the forefront of the national development zones in the province in terms of high-quality development and high-level construction.
