China Petrochemical Corp said on Monday the company has signed a 27-year liquefied natural gas sales and purchase agreement with QatarEnergy.

Qatar will send China Petrochemical Corp, also known as Sinopec and the world's largest refiner by volume, 4 million tons of LNG a year starting in 2026, it said.

The gas for Sinopec will come from the North Field East expansion. It will be China's longest LNG supply agreement to date, according to data from BNEF. It's also one of the country's biggest in terms of volume.
