Dalad Banner in the city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region signed three projects involving the clean and efficient utilization of coal resources and the comprehensive utilization of solid waste on July 26, with a total investment of 1.48 billion yuan ($222.06 million).

The deals were signed among the government of Dalad Banner, Inner Mongolia Jianheng Energy Technology Co, Chongqing Furan Technology Co and Heilongjiang Sanjiang Junhe New Material Technology Development Co.

The coal graded, classified, clean and efficient comprehensive utilization project, with an annual processing capacity of 2 million metric tons, will be jointly invested and built by Inner Mongolia Jianheng Energy Technology Co and Chongqing Furan Technology Co.

The project will receive a total of 1.18 billion yuan in investment and cover an area of 300 mu.

It is meant to use coal cleanly and efficiently by separating oil, gas and carbon from coal resources. It is expected to generate 2.79 billion yuan in output value annually.

Meanwhile, the project with an annual output of 300,000 tons of new building materials will be co-built by Inner Mongolia Jianheng Energy Technology Co and Heilongjiang Sanjiang Junhe New Material Technology Development Co.

The project will receive a total of 50 million yuan in investment and cover an area of 10 mu.

It will use tailings, construction waste, silt, sludge, incinerated domestic ash, gasification slag, fly ash and coal gangue as the main raw materials to produce products that can replace sand and stone products.

These products can be widely used in roads and industrial and civil structures. It is expected to generate 150 million yuan in output value annually.

The third kaolin deep processing project with an annual output of 750,000 tons will be solely funded by Inner Mongolia Jianheng Energy Technology Co.

The project will use local high-quality coal-measure kaolin resources to produce high-quality ceramics, refractory materials, rubber products and chemical industry materials.
