A Vietnam-Thailand route, co-operated by CMA CGM Shipping Co Ltd (CMA CGM), Regional Container Lines Group (RCL) and Pacific International Lines (PTE) Ltd, opened at Dalian port on July 3.

Up to now, Dalian port of Liaoning Port Group has opened three foreign trade container shipment routes, and the number of foreign trade container routes has reached eighty-eight.

It is known that four 2500TEU ships will be put into use for the Vietnam-Thailand route.

Refrigerated goods such as bananas are the main imports. The shipping routes will help exports of chemicals, minerals, and metal products from Northeast China to the ports of Laem Chabang and Hochiminh, contributing to Dalian port's status as hub of foreign container trade and cold chain logistics.

Since the signing of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), the route, opened by Liaoning Port Group, has been the second route between RCEP countries at the Dalian port.

It will provide new logistics channels and convenience for Northeast China and Southeast Asian countries and promote the growth of regional economy and trade.
