Abstract : The Silk Road NGO Cooperation Network, an international civil society network in China, on November 27 held an online seminar aiming at promoting practical cooperation between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) by taking the opportunities brought by the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).

The Silk Road NGO Cooperation Network, an international civil society network in China, on November 27 held an online seminar aiming at promoting practical cooperation between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) by taking the opportunities brought by the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).

About 100 representatives from non-governmental organizations (NGOs), think tanks and enterprises of ten countries including China, the Philippines, Myanmar, Indonesia, Cambodia and Malaysia attended the seminar, making in-depth discussions on China-ASEAN practical cooperation.

Specific topics include interconnectivity between China and ASEAN countries in commodities, capital, technology and personnel, deep participation in global governance and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

The participants highly recommended this event, calling it fruitful and enhancing mutual understanding among NGOs of China and ASEAN countries and providing valuable opportunities for future practical cooperation.

The Silk Road NGO Cooperation Network was initiated by the China NGO Network for International Exchanges (CNIE), a national non-profit social group in China, and so far boasts 352 member organizations from 72 countries.

The Silk Road NGO Cooperation Network has carried out more than 400 livelihood projects and activities, becoming a very important platform to promote friendly cooperation between people of Belt and Road countries.
